               Breaking               Down               The               Schedule
               Bears               opponents               in               2013-2014               were               a               combined               128-127-1               in               2012               making               their               schedule               the               16th               toughest               schedule               in               the               league.

Last               season               their               schedule               was               the               20th               toughest               schedule               in               the               league.
               The               Bears               had               five               primetime               games               in               2012.

They               will               four               primetime               games               in               2013               (at               PIT               in               Week               Three,               v.s.

NYG               in               Week               Six,               at               GB               in               Week               Nine,               v.s.

DAL               in               Week               14).

They               will               battle               the               NFC               East,               AFC               North,               NFC               North               and               two               NFC               opponents               in               the               New               Orleans               Saints               and               St.

Louis               Rams.
               Nothing               will               be               easy               for               the               Bears               in               2013.

However               they               start               off               at               home               for               the               first               two               weeks               of               the               season               which               should               help               them               find               their               groove               early               on.
               They               host               A.J.

Green               and               the               Cincinnati               Bengals               in               Week               One.

The               Bears               are               17-3               in               home               openers               since               1984.

The               following               week               they               welcome               Adrian               Peterson               and               the               Minnesota               Vikings               to               Soldier               Field.
               They               go               on               the               road               in               back-to-back               weeks               starting               against               the               Pittsburgh               Steelers               on               Sunday               Night               Football.

They               then               travel               to               Detroit               to               battle               the               Lions.

They               have               two               straight               home               games               after               that               against               the               New               Orleans               Saints               and               then               the               New               York               Giants               on               Thursday               Night               Football.
               They               travel               to               Washington               to               battle               Robert               Griffin               III               and               the               Redskins               in               Week               Seven.

The               bye               week               comes               in               Week               Eight.
               In               the               first               seven               weeks               of               the               season               they               will               have               four               home               games               and               three               road               games.

In               those               seven               games               two               of               them               will               be               primetime               games               and               two               will               be               division               games.
               The               first               two               weeks               don't               scare               me               as               much               as               weeks               three               and               four.

Playing               the               Steelers               and               Lions               in               back-to-back               weeks               won't               be               easy.

The               Saints,               Giants               and               Redskins               are               all               very               good               NFC               North               teams,               but               like               mentioned               before               if               the               Bears               can               start               the               season               off               right               they               could               be               well               on               their               way.
               Coming               back               from               the               bye               the               Bears               have               a               daunting               task               on               the               road               on               Monday               Night               Football               against               their               arch               rival               in               the               Green               Bay               Packers.
               The               host               the               Lions               and               the               Super               Bowl               Champion               Baltimore               Ravens               the               next               two               weeks               at               Soldier               Field.
               They               then               travel               to               St.

Louis               and               Minnesota               to               battle               the               Rams               and               Vikings               the               following               weeks.

They               return               home               to               host               the               Dallas               Cowboys               on               Monday               Night               Football,               a               rematch               of               last               year's               matchup               on               Monday               night.
               They               visit               Cleveland               and               Philadelphia               the               next               two               weeks               and               end               the               season               at               home               against               the               Packers.
               This               schedule               ranks               exactly               right               in               the               middle               of               the               pack               in               the               NFL               at               16th               according               to               the               2012               records               of               the               Bears'               opponents.

Take               away               those               records               and               look               at               the               matchups               ahead               it               doesn't               seem               quite               that               easy               for               the               Bears.
               One               positive               however               is               the               fact               that               the               start               the               season               at               home               for               the               first               two               weeks.

They               also               don't               play               the               Packers               until               after               the               bye               in               Week               Eight               and               won't               face               the               Super               Bowl               Ravens               until               Week               11.
               They               have               more               winnable               games               in               the               back-end               of               their               schedule.

The               first               seven               weeks               of               their               schedule               are               filled               with               matchups               against               very               solid               teams.

Other               than               the               primetime               games               all               of               the               afternoon               matchups               will               be               at               1:00               p.m.

               Week               Four               against               Washington.
               Week               Eight               against               Green               Bay               on               Monday               Night               Football.
               Week               11               versus               Baltimore.
