About 'cleveland browns stadium hotels'-How to Kick a Football off a Tee?
Travel is an incredibly popular past-time and often we as Americans find ourselves traveling around to sample other cities in the United States to try to get a grasp on the character and diversity of our amazing nation. Cleveland, Ohio is personally my favorite city in the United States and offers an incredible breadth of interesting activities to try and history to absorb. The first thing that you as a traveler need to know about Cleveland before your plane arrives at Cleveland Hopkins Airport or you drive into the city from wherever you are from, is that Cleveland is a place with all the amenities and attractions of a big city but does not have the crowds and congestion. Consequently, the entire city is open for the tourist to enjoy. However, before we delve into the amazing attractions and activities that Cleveland has to offer, there are some important travel tips to know. First, if you're looking for the best hotels to stay at in Cleveland, it really depends on the type of experience you prefer. If you want to have a cozy, artsy, yet elegant hotel you would stay at The Glidden House, which is an awesome bed and breakfast that is located within walking distance of a number of Cleveland greatest attractions such as the Cleveland Art Museum, the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, The Cleveland Museum of Natural History, the Western Reserve Historical Society, and Severance Hall, the location of the world-renown Cleveland Orchestra. However, if you are looking for something larger, a little flashier and city-like than you should make reservations at the InterContinental Hotel, which houses one of Cleveland's best restaurants, Table 45, and is an impressively large and beautiful hotel. After you are settled into your hotel, it is time to explore. If its early in the day and you have time to spend, I would definitely suggest checking out the university circle area and all the locations mentioned above near the Glidden House because the contain incredible pieces of culture and at some of the location admission is free. If it is getting late in the evening, Cleveland's theatre district should be visited. It is called Playhouse Square and is second only to Broadway in the quality of performance. After watching an inspiring play, you should explore the history of Cleveland by heading over to Lake View Cemetery, which is the home to one of the largest presidential monuments in the country, the Garfield Monument. Furthermore, many famous people who played a major part in Cleveland's development are buried there such as John D. Rockefeller, M.C. Hanna, and Eliot Ness. Lake View is literally an "Outdoor Museum and Arboretum" that will surprise many visitors. If you are more into sports, you should check out one of Cleveland's main three professional sports teams: the Browns, the Indians, and the Cavs. When you have some time before the games or after, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is right next to Browns Stadium. The museum is modeled as a giant record player and is designed by the same architect who designed the entrance to the Louvre, I.M Pei. Consequently, it is more than just the Rock and Roll Mecca of the world but also an amazing site-seeing destination. Cleveland may not be a city that is considered the ideal city for a vacation, but it has a lot to offer and is one of the most interesting cities in the United States. Cleveland warrants a visit. Give it a chance and it may surprise you. Sources www.gliddenhouse.com www.ichotelsgroup.com http://www.playhousesquare.org/ http://www.lakeviewcemetery.com |
